Welcome to my Family Tree web site. If you are a new visitor and you arrived here after searching for a surname, you may be initially puzzled as to why you have arrived here. If this is the case then you should visit the INDEX LIST and go to either my Family Tree or the Earl Stonham Parish records on Micro Fiche. You will have got here because either the surname you are looking for occurs in my own family tree or it has been found in the Earl Stonham and Stonham Aspall Parish records. These are small villages in Suffolk, England where my Buckle roots originate. I have so far transcribed over 5,000 of these entries and indexed the surnames on this web site, which may explain how you got here.

If however you are a Buckle or Buckell descendant, then welcome again, you are in the correct place. Although I set this site up initially for my own family tree, and much of the data held here is specific to my ancestry, it also has a lot in common with other Buckle/Buckell's around the world. It certainly seems that the surname is very popular in Canada, and I have gathered a few stories from there. I would love to add any new discoveries so please feel free to let me have yours.

I have tried to keep this site educational as well. Anyone perhaps interested in Social history would do well to download and study the Earl Stonham Parish registers. These provide a fascinating look into the inter-relationships, marriages, births, deaths and lifestyles in this tiny village over the years. Schools may find it of some use to use this data to set educational projects for students. The results could be informative and fun.
